Since I teach five 7th grade classes per day, any type of paper that I hope to reuse from class to class must be laminated. There are many benefits to lamination. Obviously, it saves on paper consumption since items like task cards and station activities can be used multiple times a day for several years. Additionally, dry erase markers can be used on them and easily erased. A typical laminator in a school workroom or media center does not use lamination that is thick enough to withstand extensive use or erasure. The 5 mil laminating pouches made for the smaller classroom laminators make the items stiff so they are not easily damaged.
