Unfortunately, Distance Learning is not just something these students are dealing with for a couple of months. This is inevitably going to be the new norm. For my students this is just another bump in the road. For many of my students, they do not have the access to the best materials at home. By providing them with better computers they will be able to face this new challenge, hopefully, with some pride. My students are 5th graders and they have acquired the most skills because they are the oldest. Nothing frustrates a preteen more than technology that can't live up to their knowledge base. This is like a brand new pair of shoes for many of them...they have never had one!
