    To answer the question: "What about the new product is most exciting to your students?"

    Whiteboards help to make the classroom more interactive, especially during instruction. Students can write down immediate responses and receive immediate feedback, as well as share with peers. In terms of the food that was donated - that is used to incentivize students to complete tasks related to the subject matter they're studying. The other supplies allow me as the teacher to more effectively provide adequate learning tools for the class.”

  • Chinese Calligraphy

    My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity in allowing us to further Chinese learning, especially in terms of calligraphy. The supplies you have provided us with allowed students gain a deeper understanding of character writing, radical recognition as well as stroke order. Chinese is a logographic language that requires intimate familiarity on how characters are written as well as their component make-up. I hope to use the left over supplies for next school year. Once again, thank you!”

    This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 5 other donors.
This will add a level of interest an authenticity among students since they will be using authentic calligraphy writing materials. Students will be able to learn brush stroke as well as how to write the strokes with the correct amount of pressure they put on the brush/pen. They will also be able to learn write within the correct stroke order as well as understand the proportions of all components or radicals for each character. In this particular project, Ss will learn the most common radicals to learn and apply to all Chinese characters.

About my class
