  • Resources for English Learners

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

My students have loved using all of the learning resources that you so graciously provided for them! Teaching so many different grade levels is challenging when it comes to having everything they need and I am so thankful you felt it was important enough to donate to help us out! My students have already benefited so much from the resources. From newcomers to ELs at the more advanced levels, these resources covered them all! My newcomers have loved using the action cards and preposition manipulatives. Whereas my more advanced students love the Idioms cards and the practice with writing. Thanks again for everything!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hargis

  • Every Student Deserves a Chance!

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

My English learners have enjoyed using the workbooks and dictionaries that you so generously donated your money to. They are learning so much more and are excited to come to class!

They are able to use the dictionaries for all of their classes. This helps them to understand their assignments.

The workbooks are fun for them since it is like filling out comic strips, only they are doing that while learning English! It provides real-life examples for them so they can practice what they are learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hargis

My students can use the Spanish to English word to word dictionaries to do their daily assignments in all of their classes. It is also important that my English learners learn to use these dictionaries instead of using technology because they can be used as an accommodation for state testing. The workbooks will help my students practice English using comic strips to be able to view words, phrases, and build new vocabulary being used by the people in the pictures. This workbook is challenging, but entertaining for even older students.
