In every classroom, manipulatives are an essential part of instruction. They allow for differentiated instruction. They also allow students to connect with and apply content in ways that build critical thinking and concept mastery. Manipulatives also provide a bridge connecting the concrete and the abstract. These math supplies will be used a daily basis to differentiate instruction and encourage critical thinking. With these supplies, all learners will have the opportunity to learn in their own way. I, as the teacher, can use these supplies to differentiate instruction, allowing me to reach every learner where they are.
