  • Taking Care of Our Bodies and Minds

    Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and helping me fund my project!

    I was able to successfully run a Yoga Club for 15 second and third graders! The students were so excited to have their own yoga mats to practice on. We also loved practicing the fun breathing exercises in the book and using the yoga cards to discuss and learn new poses.

    Thanks to your donations, I will also be able to host another round of yoga with 15 new students for the 2nd half of the year! The students thank you for helping us practice some self-care.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 8 other donors.
We have a very fast-paced, rigorous academic days. Students work hard and move around the room often, but our options for seating are very limited. Giving students flexible seating options can increase focus and productivity. This project will help my diverse learners to focus and even enjoy our time together more! Flexible seating gives students choice, which ultimately leads to excitement. It also provides students with the option to be comfortable anywhere in the classroom. With 32 children in one room, space is limited. Having the option to set up a group comfortably anywhere in the room would be a game-changer for all!

About my class
