Red Light, Green Light, 123!
Funded Oct 8, 2022I'm so grateful for the outdoor materials you supplied for my pre-k students. They were so excited when I opened the box and showed them all our new supplies. They could not wait to play with them. These materials have helped us be creative while outdoors we've played games like catch and throw promoting fine and gross motor skills. We've used the hula hoops for more than one activity. The children love out door time and make sure to use all the materials and clean them up when it's time to go inside. Once again we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for providing us with enough materials to enjoy our outdoor play.”

Our Little Play House
Funded Jun 10, 2022Thank you so much for replacing our little doll house with a bean bag for our cozy corner. We also received multicultural food baskets for our dramatic play area. We use our cozy corner for social emotional support to provide our kids a place to manage their feelings better and regulate them . The bean bag is comfy and bright and the kids love to seek comfort in it. The play food has a variety of foods that children may not have been exposed to , which is great for building language and vocabulary .”

Pictures Tell a Story !
Funded May 4, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation. As a pre k teacher I'm constantly capturing teachable moments with a camera , and also printing photos of anything the children are curious about during the year. Having a classroom printer will make it so much easier for us. Children love seeing their pictures on the birthday bulletin board , cubbies , tables , and all around the walls of their classroom . We also print pictures for parents and families as keepsakes so they can remember their child this small. Photos are memories frozen in a frame that can be cherished for a life time.”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and one other donor.Power of Play
Funded Dec 27, 2020Thank you so much for your donation of toys. The children were delighted with the spaceship and trucks. It goes along with our transportation unit. They are exploring the toys asking questions and I'm adding new language such as astronauts , space, and gravity. The dolls are a welcome addition to our pretend play area where they learn life skills and how to care for each other and things. The sorting color magnets require eye hand coordination and matching skills , I already see children developing these skills. Thank you for believing in the power of play .”

Funded Apr 30, 2020Thank you so much for these donations. Pre-k is the time when are youngest learners learn to write. My students loved the markers , paper, and we use the alphabet cards to practice our alphabet. As you can see they use the paper to practice their names and also paint and create. Because of covid we cannot share markers , so your donation of individual materials was much needed. We created a zip log bag for each child to keep their markers in. They will use them to sign in their names in the morning. The paper will be used for painting, drawing , and name writing. Thank you so much !”
