Have you ever wondered if you could harness the wind? How could you take that power and create something new and exciting? Have you wondered how the Utah land formations evolved into what they are today? Have you experienced the night sky and marveled at the patterns of the sky? Instead of reading about these experiences in a book, the opportunity to experience first hand and create inventions await students with a hands on experience that can enlighten and amaze. With the materials, the students will be able to construct a generator and then compete in an engineering challenge to use that generator to produce something amazing. The new science and engineering standards are designed to give students an applied experience and the materials supports the fourth-grade curriculum.
