  • Support My ENL Class

    Funded Aug 17, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. They have helped create a supportive and vibrant classroom environment and have greatly contributed to the resources in our class! One of our favorite new items is the portable whiteboard that we use daily. students are able to use this to work in small groups or deliver instruction. We also love the inspirational phrases which we have placed around our class mirror. These affirmations are just what we need to focus on the days lessons.

Everyone (students and staff) have commented on how warm and welcoming the classroom looks this year. This was made possible by all the resources donated this year. We can't wait to continue to develop our ideal class seating. The next thing students want to explore is creating an accessible library so we may look into purchasing shelves. We have also discussed flexible seating and are considering purchasing couches or lounge seating so that students have comfortable spaces for learning. Our class is a work in progress, but we can't thank you all enough for your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amara

By contributing even a small amount, you have made the lives of each of these students that much easier. Each student who received a care package experienced a hardship due to COVID-19. For some this was a loss of a family member, an economic challenge or a housing crisis. We cannot thank you enough for take a minute to contribute to the lives of our young ones. We hope you understand the tremendous impact you had on our students lives and the lives of everyone in our school.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Amara

These students are struggling to engage in online learning because they are facing a loss and are unsure about where they will get some essentials to survive the pandemic. So far we have about five students who are experiencing extreme hardships because a care giver passed or is in the hospital. This understandably so, is making it hard for them to engage in their lessons or with their teachers. So these simple materials of packaged food and cleaning supplies will help them to lessen this worry. Not only will it help them physically but social emotionally as a morale booster emphasizing that though they may be physically separated from the world they are not alone.
