This proposal will quickly transcend all students' limitations and prejudices and enable them to maximize their full potential in all school subjects while working together with various backgrounds to build a classroom culture. I believe students are what makes communities great. Therefore, I ask that you look at the multiple benefits of this proposal, consider the harsh realities most of these students face, and fund a project that will get all types of kids to work together to achieve a dream. This project I am requesting funding for builds off these principles and elevates it to new levels. Incorporating the techniques/methods within Hal Elrod's #1 International best seller "The Miracle Morning," students will discover how to make major breakthroughs in literally every area of their lives. The funding for the vision boards and board book of images will help to create a plan for how to incorporate daily personal development, gain new cultural perspectives, and collaborate on their dreams/goals as the school year progresses. I am requesting funding for the vision boards, book of images, and six handheld copies to give out as a drawing at the end of the program. Students will already have a PDF copy of "The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod to use with the vision boards. According to Lisa Burton in her Journal of Creativity in Mental Health, "When using vision boards with students, imagery may help them visualize improved life circumstances or may help them to identify improvement in goal areas" highlighting the real world positive experiences this project can have on students. More specifically, it will help soon-to-be adults receive and apply vital skills that can better their lives, or better yet, become a sort of "therapeutic intervention" for those students in critical emotional condition.
