I still remember the excitement of getting the Weekly Reader in elementary school. The photo on the front emphasized the important story of that week and allowed us to see events at a glance. I would love to provide my students with a similar experience by providing Allons-y for them to read. Using a French language magazine with pop culture and current events will allow students to see their French abilities grow as they understand what they are reading in a fun way. Through photos, drawings, charts and more online links, students will learn about the French speaking world and be able to take this magazine with them for more activities to do on their own.
