Students will create a book displaying their gratefulness to community workers, especially in their neighborhood of Harlem. Students should be proud and inspired by the hard work done by community workers everyday. The printer will be needed so that student books can be scanned. My third grade class has a strong sense of community. My students enjoy giving back to their school and the world around them. We would host an event where we can share the student's creative work. COVID-19 is the inspiration behind this project because healthcare workers, grocery store workers, police officers, etc are on the battlefield to protect others relentlessly. Laminating sheets will preserve their work. Other supplies are necessary in our class daily for the use of learning and engagement. This is also a great project because of career awareness for students.
