  • Share the Love on Valentine's Day!

    Funded Feb 13, 2025

    This year's Valentine's Day celebration was extra special as we opened up all our boxes from Donor's Choose! Valentine's Day may seem like a silly Hallmark holiday, but to a Kindergartener, it is a day filled with love and joy. We were able to provide each student with a goody bag to take home to remind them how much we love them. They were also each able to decorate their own mailboxes with new art supplies from this project. It was so fun to watch students get creative and share the love with each other.   • New Year's Replacements!

    Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom! It was so nice to have our materials come in to our classroom to replace some of the other things we had been making due with. Having fresh, new, working materials creates an environment where high quality learning is our top priority. You have no idea the morale boost it can be for a student to have new workbook, pencil, or folder. These little things make a world of difference. New Years Replacements gave us the boost we needed to keep our learning strong and spirits high until the end of the year!”

  • Black History Month TPT

    Thank you so much for donating to our project! We had an amazing Black History Month. We celebrated inventors, artists, musicians, historians, and so much more. We specifically focused on Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett and her achievements. During our performance we sang a song about the legacy of Dr. King. Students learned so much, and this project enabled us to give back to Black teachers as well by purchasing their products on Teachers Pay Teachers. We know that Black History is not just a month, and we will be sure to keep honoring the legacy of all who came before us all year long!”

  • Playtime Re-Vamp

    Thank you for your donation and support of our kindergarten classroom! Being able to refresh and update some of our playtime items has brought so much joy and excitement to our daily purposeful playtime. It is amazing to watch students learn and grow through collaborative play each day. Students have grown in their social skills, problem-solving, and overall creativity through our new toys. Playtime is one of the foundations of school and provides so many hands-on learning opportunities. Unfortunately, there are not always funds to provide students with the best play items, so donors from Donors Choose are an incredible resource. We thank you so much!”

    Thank you for your generosity in donating to this project. Teachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful resource for teachers to support each other. This project being funded enabled me to purchase resources to use during our math and reading intervention times to differentiate instruction for students. Students love working on these activities, and I love having more time to instruct rather than prep activities. It also feels amazing to be able to compensate other teachers for their hard work by purchasing products directly from other educators. Your support for this project is so appreciated, and my students and I thank you!”

With COVID-19 changing the way we do education, my students are currently at home learning through packets and virtual learning. We are learning, however, that school is more than just a place where students grow academically. Schools allow students to socialize, explore their world, and for many, are a place where their basic needs of food, shelter and love continue to be met. The items on this list will be put together as a care package for students and families. My hope is that although we are away from each other, my students will still feel love from their teachers!

About my class

With COVID-19 changing the way we do education, my students are currently at home learning through packets and virtual learning. We are learning, however, that school is more than just a place where students grow academically. Schools allow students to socialize, explore their world, and for many, are a place where their basic needs of food, shelter and love continue to be met.
