Due to the pandemic, students must now social distance and have easy-to-clean individual supplies. These are a few of the many reasons that I am requesting the plastic storage pouches for each student. When we eventually go back to hybrid learning, students will be able to neatly store all of their school supplies such as iPads, work papers, folders, and other learning materials in these easy-to-use and easy-to-clean pouches. One of the biggest things I miss about last year’s Kindergarten classroom is my fun, engaging, hands-on learning centers. Students were able to share and rotate all materials including magnetic letters and boards for sight word and CVC word practice, play dough for a tactile experience while learning how to form the letters and spell sight words, just to name a few. However, now students require their own individual supplies to keep themselves and others safe. I am requesting the teacher tote because I teach English in a dual immersion program. Since students can no longer switch rooms, teachers must switch. I am requesting the teacher caddy to easily store my laptop, papers, crayons, whiteboard, etc. to make for an easy and fast transition to the other classroom, also without forgetting materials! I am requesting the Teachers Pay Teachers Gift card because with both hybrid and remote learning, many activities are completed on an IPAD, more than ever. Teachers Pay Teachers has so many wonderful and creative resources that I have used often in the past, however I do not have fun and engaging virtual resources such as Boom cards, and online games for students to play. I am also requesting books centered around the themes of safety and kindness. I am looking forward to a safe, fun, and engaging year of learning for my Kindergartners!
