Recently, the State of Arizona required additional recess time for all students. I'm the #1 fan of this legislation, especially in an area where obesity, diabetes, and other maladies are so prevalent. Unfortunately, our school lacks the resources for sporting equipment. My goal is to keep all my students, including some with various disabilities, moving during recess with some fun games and equipment. Whether they're trying something new like ladder ball or a traditional game of soccer, they'll have fun while getting some much needed and very beneficial exercise. After all, physical movement is good for all our brains, bodies and souls!

About my class
