I teach in a low income inner-city school. We don't have a lot of resources when it comes to teaching music. I am looking to build literacy within my music class. Most of the books I chose were about various musicians and feelings through music. I want for my students to think "outside the box" and to know that anything is possible in life, no matter how impossible it seems. I want for my students to be inspired by the stories and the music. My goal is to get enough books for them to also read independently. Thank you for your help.
