  • On the Same Page

    This project helped me engage my students in literacy like never before! This was a great step in developing skills they will use throughout their life. These mentor texts provided great examples of grit, integrity, and compassion. Those are all qualities that want my students to have. One of my students' favorite stories from this project is Finding Winnie. It is the true story of Winnie the Pooh, the kids love finding out the history behind one of their favorite TV characters. What Should Darla Do has been a powerful mentor text that has taught my students the importance of the choices they make. They love reading graphic novels! Graphic novels have been a great way to motivate my most reluctant readers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my classroom!”
