Again, the last time my students had an uninterrupted year of school was Kindergarten. Kindergarten is the year that students learn to improve the agility in their small muscles in their hands. Because of the pandemic they have not had the opportunity to consistently work on this most important skill. My students also learn through "hands on" instruction. These brightly colored fraction pieces will give them the visual and tactile learning experience that they need to understand how fractions work while perfecting their dexterity. My students will have fun manipulating these brightly colored fraction circle pieces while learning about fractions.
