As a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, it is important to adjust to the changes that happen throughout the day. Each day presents a different challenge and we need to know how to adapt so that we can make the best of any situation. This year has presented endless challenges, some like we have never seen, but that doesn't change a teacher's goal: make the best of every situation. We can never underestimate the power of books as they allow children to learn, and grow, whether in school or at home. Due to COVID-19 our class will be online for the 2020/2021 school year. In Pre-Kindergarten one of the primary purposes of school is to introduce students to social skills. The books I have chosen will be a great source of teaching these students social skills, different cultures, and understanding emotions. I hope to give my class the best possible experience during these difficult times, and books are a great start!
