This is my first year as a fifth grade teacher, and the classroom I inherited has many primary level books, due to the previous teacher being a primary teacher for all but the last year. Having books that my fifth graders will be interested in will help make the classroom a welcoming and safe place. This is especially helpful during this rough, uncertain time. My students will be so excited to dive in to new worlds and learn amazing things. A book in their hands can help them dream big and see the possibilities!
