• Headphones for Focus

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to help me continue to provide new materials to my students! Our older headphones have been slowing breaking or disappearing. These new headphones and hooks to store them will allow many of my multilingual students to feel more comfortable listening to assignments in the language they are most comfortable with!”

• Throwing Some Shade!

  Thanks to the new Pop up Tents and weights we are now able to have some shade outside on our very HOT black top area! The students were excited to see that there was some relief from the sun on our unseasonable warm days last week!

  If not for your generosity, the students would not have anywhere to escape the sun in the afternoon, as the only shade we get on our lot is from a building that blocks the sun in the early morning hours of school. It doesn't seem like much, but being able to get out of the sun for just a few minutes does a lot to have students continue to participate throughout the class period!”

• 'Shooting' for Outdoor Activities

  I know this project has been funded for quite some time. Unfortunately due to the district taking a while to secure storage for the rolling portable basketball hoops, they have not yet been put to use. I have be in contact with the buildings and grounds staff, and I am confident that by the beginning of next school year, these basketball hoops will be making up for lost time with all of the use they will be getting!

• Crazy for Cornhole 2.0

  Thank you for continuing to support my efforts to increase the number and types of activities that we are able to offer to our students here at Trenton's Ninth Grade Academy!

  I was finally able to break out the brand new corn hole boards, the students were a little timid at first but soon were enjoying the challenge of a new game. With the addition of this fifth set of corn hole boards there was enough room for all of my students to participate at the same time! The students have learned the proper techniques of throwing the corn hole bags and the basics of

  scoring.

  Without your contributions, many of our students would never have the opportunity to attempt this game that they can play for the rest of their lives!

• SAFE and SECURE!

  Thank you so much for making a donation during these trying times we are going through! The plan for these ball cages and locks, is to use them to lock up equipment for a couple of reasons! The first reason being that since we are in a pandemic, when we go back to school and need to sanitize materials between uses, they will ensure that the equipment that is cleaned at the end of the day, isn't used after school accidentally and then not sanitized again. It will also help keep some of our equipment from "walking away." Both of these reasons are very important as we try to figure out what activities can be done, and making sure that we maintain having enough equipment that is clean to use each day!

  None of this would be possible without your support and even continued support of all of you! Thank you so much for helping us grow our programs even when we are still in a virtual setting! All of your donations are appreciated more than you know!”

• Fitness Station Start-Up Activities!

  Thank you, thank you, thank you! I wish I could tell you how the students feel about having these station markers with the activities listed right on them at station work feel about them, but we have yet to return to school and use the fitness station markers!

  I am confident that once we return to our school building (hopefully early May!) that these station markers will be used regularly! Not only will they help promote social distancing to the extent that is recommended at that time, but also will help the students stay on task by knowing exactly what exercises they should be doing at that station!

  Without all of your generous donations to my project, I think it would be much more difficult to establish routines and change up activities quickly in this new era of social distancing during activity and workouts! Thank you again for all of your help!”

• Ping Pong Necessities!

  Thank you so much for all of your support, and for some of you, continued support! It was disheartening to the students as well as the teachers when we were unable to return to school at the beginning of this school year.

  As we continue with virtual learning, the ping pong tables as well as all of the additional supplies that this project funded (paddles and various sized ping pong balls) are just patiently awaiting our return, which will hopefully be in May! I anticipate that we may be able to use these after school, as well as in class, since the sport in itself promotes some social distancing and limited shared materials!

  We would not have been able to add this awesome activity to our school without all of your help! I know the students will absolutely love the sport!”

• Bounce Into Fitness With Ping Pong Tables!

  I would like to start by saying "THANK YOU!!!!" I know this project feels like it was funded so long ago! I am so excited for when we go back to school and are finally able to break out the brand new ping pong tables as a new activity for both an after school activity and to carry over into the Physical Education classes!

  I know that the tables arrived shortly after this years school year started (Sept 2020), but unfortunately the tables were there, but the students and most of the staff were not! The district was very helpful by having the ping pong tables put together already so they are just waiting for us to return to break them in!

  If our students didn't have the generous support that all of you have given them, there is no way they would have the opportunity when we return to school to experience the excitement as well as bonus fitness benefits of the sport! Thank you so much for supporting me and my school, as well as all of my students! I know they will be just as excited as I am to learn the game!”
