  • A Flexible Space to Interact and Thrive

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

I hope this note finds you well. I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation to our classroom. Your contribution will make a significant impact by providing flexible seating options, a wireless keyboard, and zipper bags for our students’ supplies.

These resources will transform our classroom environment, enhancing both comfort and productivity for my students. I truly appreciate your support and commitment to their learning experience.

Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roy

  • Building Community by Building Together

    Funded Oct 30, 2023

I hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of my students, I am writing to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of building supplies. Your contribution has had a profound impact on our students and the broader educational community.

The supplies you provided—ranging from blocks to magnet tiles —arrived at a crucial time. As we prepared for the new school year, we faced the challenge of ensuring that every student had the tools they needed to successfully create a classroom community. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to distribute these supplies to students who might otherwise have gone without.

Your donation has not only provided essential materials but has also brought a sense of hope and encouragement to our students. For many of them, receiving these supplies represents more than just blocks and tiles; it symbolizes the support and care of a community that believes in their potential. The positive impact on their academic performance and self-esteem has been remarkable.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roy

  • Building a Community of Kindness and Acceptance

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

Thank you for your generous gift. I want to teach my students academics, but I also want to teach my students to be kind and accepting humans. Your gift helps me to do this in a fun and engaging way.

We start our day in a morning meeting and we highlight one of the books your gifted us. My students have the opportunity to listen to great literature and these story provide a great start to a classroom discussion on the lesson from the story. It gives them a talking point in a safe way.

From your gifts, we have talked about sharing, kindness, respect, and acceptance. I believe that these traits are so important in our world today. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roy

  • Organized and Ready to Read

    Funded Jul 19, 2021

Thank you for your generous gift. As stated in my project, my district provided us with a wonderful phonics program. The program is engaging and my students make tremendous growth with it, but it has a lot of pieces. Our school day is packed and we have no "spare" time and my students are in first grade, so organization is critical.

Your gift allows my students to use our time to the maximum. All of their supplies are located in one spot. For first few days of school, we go over the procedures for them to access their bin and soon we are up and running. We are using our time learning to encode and decode, not looking for supplies.

Your gift also teaches my students the value of organization. It also teaches them to care for and respect materials because this is THEIR bin. I and my students can't thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roy

  • A Book Is a Gift You Can Open Everyday!

    Funded Feb 11, 2021

Thank you so much for the wonderful books and journals. We have been using them as

daily read aloud stories. These new books align to our new reading curriculum. As my students read and listen to these stories, they have begun seeing themselves as readers, authors, and illustrators!

These read alouds have helped develop my students' vocabulary, provided mentor texts, and inspired engagement that has helped build my students into lifelong readers and writers. These books have helped spark and continue my students' passion for reading and writing.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roy

  • Individual Learning Supplies Help My Students Stay Safe

    Funded Aug 6, 2020

These supplies have helped my students so much. Our district is currently in a hybrid model, so my students are only in the building two days a week and then they are home for three days. This hybrid model is helping to keep my kids safe, but this model does present a lot of challenges. One being, most off my students don't have school supplies at home. With your amazing donation, I was able to turn these. Supplies into "Take Home Supply Kits." My original intent was to create individual supplies in my classroom, but my kids needed these supplies at home more. This year has been so hard, but being able to give my kids these supplies has made this year easier. Each one of my students now has learning tools at home thanks to your amazing generosity.”

    With gratitude,

  • Listen, Write and Read to Succeed!

    Funded Mar 6, 2020

We are overwhelmed by your generosity. We will benefit from your generosity every day. These headphones and whiteboards will help us be better readers and writers by allowing us to isolate sounds without background distractions. We will be able to focus on the skills needed to become better readers. Your gift is a godsend to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roy

My students use a computer phonics program on Chromebooks for at least 20 minutes every day. Some students brought in headphones at the beginning of the year, but many of their headphones have broken and stopped working. Many students cannot afford to purchase another set of headphones for school. Unfortunately, I only have 5 pairs of headphones that I am able to let my students borrow, and that is not nearly enough for my whole class. In addition to the lack of quantity that I have, the 5 headphones that I have are ripped and are on the verge of breaking as well. As they are working on the program, whiteboards help my students encode and decode words they are using and hearing. This helps my students develop into better readers and to develop a feeling of self-confidence in their reading skills.
