I will be transforming my classroom into a construction themed room for a day. We will be learning through play. Everything will be hands on and play based. I would like for each child to get a plastic hard hat and a construction safety vest to wear for the day and then they would be able to take it home. At home the students would be able to continue to use their imagination and have fun with their construction outfit. Some concepts that I will be teaching will be addition, subtraction, shapes, syllables and beginning sounds, all with a construction theme.
