  • iPad Mini Cases to Protect iPads for Science and Technology

    Funded Oct 13, 2016

I can't thank you enough for your generosity. You are so kind to help get all of the unfunded technology. The students in my class were fortunate enough to get ipads last year, and they LOVE them. This year, we were able to get ipad covers for those ipads. This will help to keep our ipads save. The students are so grateful to have the covers because now they don't have to be so worried about breaking the ipads that were given to us. This allows for a lot less stress in the classroom. We truly appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness when it comes to donating to our classes.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Carr

  • Technology Needed for Next Generation Science Activities

    Funded Oct 30, 2015

I cannot thank you enough for what you have provided for my students. My students and I are beyond overjoyed to have new technology in the class. As you see in the photos, the students are using the technology to help them create their cells. There are several cell apps that helped my students by going into a further explanation of what I had taught, and showed them in greater detail how the organelles look. With the iPads, the students are able to further expand their knowledge. They will also be able to create Google docs when we become a Google school. We have also been able to look at the body 4D.

The most exciting thing about the new product so far, is how we have been able to use different apps that let us look at the human body in 4D. Also, the students don't have to do just the boring pen and paper work. They get to use apps, look things up, and create great work with awesome technology. I am most excited about the fact that there is just so much that can be done with the iPads.

Having these iPads, has been great for all of my students. I don't have enough yet for everyone, but when I get to pull them out, and the students work with an added tool, they get more excited about what they are doing. I can't say thank you enough for your generous gesture. I have made it my mission to tell other teachers just how awesome this experience has been for both my students and myself! Technology is great, but even better in Science, and especially with the new NGSS standards. You have more than helped my students to get on track with where Science is headed in the future!! Thank you so much!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Carr

I work at a Priority School in California. It is a low-income, 100% free and reduced lunch, Title I school. We have been fortunate to get to do such great teaching here. Our API scores have gone up over the last few years. Even with no test currently in place, we are all still working hard to ensure the best learning possible for our students. We have a large population of African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and Asian students. The students in my classroom are scientists. They work hard every day to discover the world around them. They are thinkers and creators. They are amazing students who deserve the opportunity to better their educational experience.
