Middle schoolers hate sitting still. They hate only sitting in desks, feeling crowded, and feeling like they can't relax while they learn. Why can't they do all of these things and still get work done? Will it even impact the quality of work I get from them? I think that the answer to both of these core concerns is related to how students are allowed to move about in the general classroom setting. I truly believe that providing seating choices removes excuses for not focusing on work and will impact my students' productivity levels in traceable ways. By donating to my project, you will help sixth graders not only have a more welcoming learning environment, you will directly tie yourself to the improvement of their academic successes in the future. These seats will allow students to meet their academic goals in an environment more tailored for them. They will be able to collaborate and explore the curriculum in a more engaging way. By giving the students innovative options for seating, I am removing one more barrier for them to put up as an obstacle for learning. I have requested a mixture of furniture that is both creative and typical in its usage in rooms across the globe. I hope that you are willing to invest in my little sixth grade family - after all, it is all about the students!
