Special needs students will prepare one tower for vegetables and one tower for herbs and spices that can be used in the recipes they learn in my Nutrition and Wellness class. Students will be collaborating with each other to achieve goals using gardening as the connection. Tower garden activities can provide inspiration, grow self-esteem, and nutritional benefits for our special need students at our school. Farm to Table can come to life. Students who can grow and nurture their own food and seasonings will have enrichment inside and outside the classroom. Students who have ownership of their learning have a greater chance of taking those experiences to the next level.
