Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds
Funded Apr 21, 2024Good nutrition helps students show up to school prepared. A busy classroom burns out energy for adults and students. There is absolutely no better way to have and energy filler. The snack provided to our students have helped them stay focused after taking the state test and after learning in the classroom all day. In the days we have gone out we have been able to provide snacks for students who don't have the resources to bring them from home. When my students opened the boxes they were so excited . It motivated them to complete classroom assignments on time and as an incentive they where able to get any snack .We are currently working on posters talking about poverty and how we can take action. We appreciate all you contributions. This project has improved our students overall academic growth as well as their social emotional wellbeing. We have a higher participation in class and students are motivated to learn and snack.”

Funded Nov 28, 2023Our students were excited to see your beautiful contribution go through our doors! You can't imagine the joy on their face every time they saw items being pulled out the boxes. This school year we have focused on project based learning. Students have done surface level work where they identify, define, recall and provide examples. Then slowly transitioned to deep learning where they cite, analyze, infer. Finally now they are applying what the have learned to lift up their voice to change social issues around their communities. Through this learning they used the art supplies , paper was used to reinforce what was being thought and use the other materials to explain their thinking . Once again wet appreciate all your help!”

Funded Dec 6, 2022My class and I would like to thank every single one of you! Because of your kind donations we were able to get headphones for every single student in my class. This has decreased the amount of noise in the classroom. My students have more time to focus on the activities with out distractions. Students are more concentrated in the instructions they are receiving through their devices and their scores have increased as well . Students are being assessed and ESL students are benefiting and are expanding their vocabulary and pronunciation skills. We are so delighted to see bright ,satisfied faces. Once again thank you so much !”
