My students need access to independent and class reading novels. Currently there are not enough books on campus for students to have their own copy of the novel. As special education students, they benefit from being able to read at their own pace, and have individualized copies where they can make notes as they work their way through the reading. We read multiple novels throughout the year, and it is important that students have the ability to enjoy both classic and more modern literature. Most importantly, reading is such a foundation part of the English curriculum it is imperative that students have access to quality reading materials.
