Reading Material for All
Funded Mar 11, 2023Our school has such wonderful diversity, with most of our students able to speak and understand two or more languages. Giving students interesting and contemporary reading material in various levels of English competency engages them and expands their understanding of the world.
By helping us to truly have a representative library selection for our students, you have supported your community in building knowledge of culture, and have given our students a better chance to be successful in their lives.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Castine
Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion!
Funded Apr 25, 2023Your generosity to our library project has increased the range of voices available to our students!
By including books by authors who identify as black and/or people of color in our library selection, we include more of our students' experiences and allow students to see themselves as potential storytellers and artists.
Library class allows students to explore choices in reading material, and seeing books written by a variety of authors and subject matter can expand students' identity in their world.
Thank you for your help with our library project!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Castine
Read Every Day for Success in Life!
Funded Oct 17, 2022Building our library in our school has such an immediate impact on student literacy. By having quality reading material available for our students to browse and check out, we see students turning more and more to reading in independent study times.
Your generosity has given award-winning books in quality editions to our students. As you can see in the photos, we are gradually but surely filling up the bookshelves with beautiful books for students to read.
Thank you so much for your support in building our school library! Wishing you many happy hours reading and discovering new books.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Castine
