Diversity should be seen in everything that we do in the classroom. We are teaching our students to stand for diversity but we should teach our students to connect to things that are different. I want my students to be able to draw solve math problems and write with the pictures that Eggy helps them to create. With Smart Buddy Robots students get a direct connection to diversity . The first generation of Eggy has been created with a diverse set of 10 relatable characters drawings. More learners can connect to the unique shape of Eggy. He looks different but he is knowledgeable creative and smart. So regardless of their socioeconomic status, ethnicity, gender, or race, students will connect and accept him as he is presented. Eggy enables teachers to implement lesson plans that provide opportunities for discussion, debate, and reflection on important topics such as diversity, race, gender differences, and conflict resolution where they can tailor it for their specific students. Eggy not only offers the opportunity to create space within the classroom for students of all backgrounds to learn basic concepts about differences, but he also enables the students to have fun, hands-on experiences with drawing and lessons in which they feel a sense of belonging and can identify with math, science .
