  • Shining Our Light With Creativity and Collaboration

    Funded Oct 26, 2021

It has been a joy to watch my students indulge their creativity with the materials we have received. When they first saw all of our new supplies, they couldn't wait to dig in! They came up with ideas for their projects so quickly. My students have been using our donated supplies to create beautifully creative projects!

The students spent last marking period working in groups to build displays that demonstrated their research of a winter holiday from around the world. The students especially loved building the decorations that were associated with these holidays. They utilized everything from glittery card stock and tissue paper to clay and painted wood.

Currently, students are working in teams to design original board games. They are writing out directions, building the boards, and creating game pieces and cards. They have had so much fun already and can't wait to have their classmates try out their games. We are so grateful for all of these amazing materials!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Liz Gimbutas

  • Capturing a Love for Reading

    Funded Mar 4, 2020

I am thrilled beyond words to tell my students that this shipment of books will be on its way! They are so excited to find a book that speaks to them. Some have been asking nonstop about this fundraiser. Thank you so very much for supporting their passion for reading!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Liz Gimbutas

This collection of books will help me appeal to the interests of my 7th grade students. Many of these students have never independently read a book before! The headsets will allow my struggling readers to listen to the audio of a book while reading to maximize their comprehension. Several students have recently expressed an interest in independent reading, and it has spread to each of my classes! I want to continue to encourage this with these books that students can borrow. I have chosen diverse authors and a variety of situations to hopefully appeal to as many students as possible.
