As students begin learning a new language, it is important for them to READ, WRITE, LISTEN, and SPEAK in that new language! I am trying to fight against the mentality, "I took Spanish for 4 years and I don't know a thing." This is a phrase often heard by many parents and friends when they find out I teach Spanish. Reading is a such a useful tool to expand vocabulary and immerse a student in that language. TPRS stands for Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling. These books are an excellent way for students to begin learning and retaining information learned in their Spanish classes.
