My students would greatly benefit from reading books that go along with classroom guidance lessons and relevant issues they often face. The students would also greatly benefit from materials, such as, board games, in which they can learn to effectively take turns and share, to use appropriate social skills, and to manage thoughts and feelings as they relate to disappointment. Lastly, the students would greatly benefit from materials, such as, play doh, stress balls, and other tactile items, to help them cope and feel more comfortable while discussing their negative thoughts, feelings, and/or other stressful things they may be facing.
