The use of these basic items in a dance classroom is essential for the smooth operation of my class. Students need a shoe rack to put their shoes, as I require students to dance barefooted. Hanging racks will allow students to hang their hula skirts and costumes. A mop and a vacuum will allow us to keep our dance studio clean as well as teach the students the important Hawaiian value of kuleana, or responsibility of helping to take care of a special place. By donating to our project, you will help our youth stay busy and active, participating in hula and performing in community events! Students will be able to show others in the community that dancing hula is a great hobby and it can help at-risk youth and youth facing the troubles of their age!
