I want my library to be a place that any student, regardless of culture, reading level, or interest, can find a book that they can enjoy. My largest goal as a reading teacher is to help students fall in love with reading. One way to make that possible, is to provide students with choice, and an opportunity to read a book that involves a character that they can relate to, or a book that they can see themselves within. I want to open up my students to experience different cultures, and to grow a love for reading. These books will be used for growing as readers, mentor text read alouds, and resources for research.
