At an elementary level, listening skills and comprehension are key to understand what is being taught to them at such a young age. A listening center will give the students many different opportunities to development listening skills which are also an important part of communication. Not only will it help the students work on listening skills and language development, but it will help them with understanding and comprehending what is being taught to them in text. Overall listening centers will always be a valuable tool for students in and out of the classroom. This opportunity will give my English Learner students a chance to use their auditory skills to help enhance their English skills with listening to text and following along in books.
