How important is a carpet? Students work independently on the classroom carpet to practice their literacy and math skills. Students come to the carpet for whole group instruction, class meetings, and more! Having a carpet in the primary classroom is an everyday essential. Not only do students use the rug to work independently, but they also use it to sit for the beginning of the lesson. Beyond that, having a functional carpet is key. Currently, our carpet has some tears, rips, and ragged ends. Also, the current carpet we have is extremely stained and looks horrible. In addition, we have several students who suffer from asthma and they can't sit on such a dirty carpet.
