  • Soaring Small Group Learning

    Funded May 9, 2023

The small group table has taken small group instruction to another level in my classroom. Students have the opportunity to sit close to the teacher and attend to what is being said.

We even received a shout out from district for exemplary small group instruction! Your support has made all of this possible so thank you again for supporting my vision and seeing the importance of small group instruction.

My students have a wide variety of learning styles and this classroom helps support students in reaching their highest potential!”

  • Math Using Monopoly

    Funded Aug 13, 2022

With your support, my students are able to engage in playing board games every Friday afternoon. Games help students overall social skills, math skills and critical thinking. It has also allowed my students to engage in real life discussions and problem solving as well as improve focus and attention to detail.

My students were so excited to see the variety of board games. The majority of my students don't have access to board games at home and so it's their only interaction with games like these.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Garden-Garricks

  • Help My Fabulous 5th Graders Focus During Independent Learning

    Funded Aug 5, 2022

With your help, my scholars have been able to improve their focus during independent learning time while they are completing their assignments on computer based learning programs such as iReady and Imagine Learning.

Your support has helped our class in tremendous ways. My students love having their own personal headphones. Such a small thing can make a huge difference in a student's learning and progress. My students currently do not have a sensory center in our classroom. A sensory center would improve my students with disabilities fine motor skills. My students use Play-doh as a fidget to help them remain focused and have never had the opportunity to explore a sensory center. A sensory center would provide students a place to calm down when they are in distress as well as allow them to explore a variety of different textures. My students learn best in a small group and a tabletop easel would improve students' outcomes by improving their ability to focus with having the classwork on the board directly in front of them.
