With the equipment provided, we are going to set up a 50-gallon saltwater reef aquarium in a science classroom to test the "Triton method". This method will then be implemented later when we begin a 160-gallon saltwater reef tank in our media center for our students to learn about and enjoy. In the science classroom, we will be able to do hands-on ecology lessons with students looking at symbiotic and predator relationships using the marine environment. As we set up the larger tank in the media center all students will enjoy the benefits of the calming saltwater environment. Our students have already formed a "saltwater fish" club to look after and care for the tanks and head off any potential problems it might have.
