These seat pockets will help my students stay organized at their seat. This year, instead of using desks, I am transitioning to tables. While I am very excited to offer my students this seating option, it is still very important for first graders to learn how to keep track of their supplies and stay organized. These seat pockets will help accomplish that.
Each student that comes into my classroom will receive their very own seat pocket to hang on the back of their chair. In their seat pocket, students will keep notebooks, folders, personal word walls, and other reading and writing materials that we use throughout the day. Having these seat pockets will help eliminate the need to get up and walk across the room for their supplies and allow them to keep their learning tools right at their fingertips!
