The notecards are essential in helping kids re-learn how to study and practice vocabulary. By creating personal sets of flashcards with drawings, my students will have personal ownership over their learning and gain a solid grasp on the correct terminology. This will help create critical thinkers and encourage students to learn more about what interests them. I will use these cards in both my Geoscience classes and by ACT prep classes. The resources I've selected will help bring real life science applications to the forefront in my classroom which is imperative in helping students make connections and be excited to be back in the classroom. The iPad will allow me to have my students collect data, create simulations with things we can't recreate in the classroom such as life cycles of stars, creating the life cycle of the sun, and understanding the impact of climate change, and record/edit videos on all labs to share with their classmates who might be on distance learning. My students are excited to have an opportunity to be hands on and to be in control of their own learning. My hope is that allowing them to take what they've learned through distance education and the technology that required, and create a new classroom dynamic. Nevada Standards that will be met with these items include the following: HS-ESS1-1, HS-ESS1-2, HS-ESS1-3; HS-ESS1-5, HS-ESS1-6, HS-ESS2-7 HS-ESS2-2, HS-ESS2-3, HS-ESS2-6 HS-ESS3-4, HS-ESS3-6, HS-ETS1-1, HS-ETS1-2, HS-ETS1-3, HS-ETS1-4 NS: SC1.1, 1.2; NS: SC1.2, 3.1, 4.3 In addition: ACT Science Proficiency will be impacted in a positive light. The ACT is a state requirement for our students.
