Thank you so much for your generous donations. The MLL students in my classroom are having a great time reinforcing their English language skills through the amazing toys and games we have added to our classroom play area.

Kindergarteners love to learn and play. The five and six year olds in my class love the colorful and engaging toys and games that teach them about letters, numbers, colors, and phonics skills.

The toys and games are a huge win to help with not only academic vocabulary, but also with early literacy skills. We are having so much learning through play in Kindergarten!”

  • Seats to Support Super English Learners!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations. The new stools in our classroom are amazing! I am able to work with the students at our table every day. The stools provide comfort and height for my English language learners in kindergarten.

So far, we have used the stools in small groups while learning English vocabulary. The stools are especially important because my kindergarteners are learning basic vocabulary, such as chair and stool, and with your donations my students are accessing hands-on vocabulary development.”

  • Decoding the Science of Reading

    Funded Dec 29, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations! The decodable books are the perfect addition to our classroom library. Because of your donations, each student in my class is able to read independently at their instructional level, improving and strengthening their reading abilities.

I have been able to customize each student's book bag with books that reinforce the phonics skills we work on every day. Beginning readers are decide cvc words with ease and still enjoy the colorful images in these new reading books. More advanced readers have their own set of books to choose from when working on digraphs and long vowel sounds. The books are such a valuable resource that the students love and are reading with pride.”

  • Listen Up!

    Funded Dec 16, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards headphones for the students in my classroom. We use the headphones daily in small group centers while students are working on online programs that promote literacy and mathematical thinking. The kids love the blue and black comfort of the headphones as well as how comfortable they are!

We have students with all different needs in our classroom, and providing a quiet and calming learning environment is essential to make them feel successful. These new headphones are doing just the trick!”

  • Rainy Days = Cooperative Play!

    Funded Dec 5, 2023

Thank you so much for giving my indoor recess space a makeover. The students are really loving all of the cooperative learning games and activities we were able to purchase. We use these activities when weather is inclimate and we cannot go outside, which happens a lot in a New England Winter.

The students love finding new friends to play with in our classroom, as well as develop new critical thinking skills that help them win games and solve puzzles. They are never bored with so many new activities!”

  • Learning Letters and Gaining Phonemic Awareness

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations toward the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. We were able to purchase the online program that supports the phonemic awareness system that we use daily in class.

In a class full of multi-language learners, having the visual aides to help support my students with this resource has been so impactful. Students are truly understanding letters, sounds, and other more complex phonemic structures that are needed to help promote reading. The students are closing the gap that was once there in their learning and becoming more confident readers.”

  • Paper Printing for Primary Learners

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations toward our classroom printer, laminator, and lamination sheets. We have been able to use the printer to print the pages we need to complete hands on pencil to paper work. Being able to produce written work is essential for small children, and having the means to print papers to help develop these skills has been so impactful to not only their academic skills, but also their gross motor skills such as penmanship. The laminator and laminating sheets have helped me create many games that are able to be played again and again in our classroom.”

  • The Language of MATH!

    Funded Feb 15, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. With the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, my students were able to have access to notu only academic vocabulary, but also activities that have helped them not only gain academic language, but also grade level appropriate skills. My students love the colorful visuals that define and illustrate mathematics concepts and skills. We have been able to create concept walls in my classroom for students to reference as they continue to develop their mathematical skills. Students also love the activities that they participate in and add to their ESL journals. These activities and journals will travel home with them this summer and students can continue to use the academic language they learned throughout the school year as well as keep their skills fresh. Your donations have helped my ELL students learn so much language this school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Berger

Our students are second graders living in an inner city of Massachusetts. They attend a neighborhood PreK-4 school, many have lived in the community their whole lives and others are new to the United States. The majority of our students are from diverse backgrounds and live in poverty. They struggle with academics and language, often lacking basic skills. For many of our students, school is the only way they gain exposure to the world outside their community. They are motivated by technology, but often are not provided with technological resources to enrich their learning experiences.
