  • Who Can Study if They're Hungry?

    Thank you so much for your contributions. We have now stocked our pantry with food that will last through the winter. Many of our students and their families now have a resource where they can get the basics they need in order for their child to stay in school and work towards a diploma, a college education, and eventually a career!

    As a result of our school programs to encourage and help students, we have improved our attendance and are looking forward to many of our seniors graduating and moving on towards a great future.

Our students come from all over the world. Latin America, North Africa, The Middle East, Eastern Europe to name a few. They have rich cultural, religious and family backgrounds and our classroom discussions are always very lively. If asked shy they came to America, their response is often either for freedom or opportunity. They support each other in a way I've never seen before in all my years of teaching. They care what happens to everyone in our building, and will pull together to help a mate in difficult situations. They are lovely examples!

About my class
