  • Excite our Learning with Ebooks

    I can not express my gratitude enough for the tablet. It is a vital resource for my students and myself. We have been able to save a lot of our books from the wear and tear that I usually have by this time of the year. The tablet is used in a station and with 3 to 4 students on a regular basis to help students read or work on reading skills I have introduced or have worked on them in guided reading group.

    My students have been very motivated and engaged in all of the learning games they have been playing. Students are eager to use the tablet and have asked outside of their learning time to use it. I have been able to give them extra time on it when they have finished their work.

    I am currently looking for new and interesting applications to use for students who need to be challenged but also who need extra help. Since there are always new ideas out there I will be constantly on the search.

    I believe the use of the tablet has helped my students achieve higher reading levels this year. I am going to try to attain two more so that I can reach more students than the 3 or 4 that we able to use it on a regular basis. Thank you so much for allowing us to have this tablet in class. We have truly enjoyed learning on it and I will continue to use it for years to come.”

  • Writing Our Opinions In Kindergarten

    Thank you very much for donating to our classroom. The external hard drive has really helped me become more organized as well as lesson the amount of items on our school systems shared hard drive system. I am able to work from home and transfer things to school much easier now.

    Thank you for giving us books as well. This will help us become better readers and writers in Kindergarten. We love to read and providing us with more opportunities to read and write help us to achieve.

    Thank you very much for opinion books. These books will enhance our learning and writing of opinions. Students will be very excited when we beginning this unit in the Spring.

    With our budget shortfalls your donations will be used in all our classes to help teach our opinion writing. Not only will we be using them for our opinion writing, but we will also be using them to read to the students and also for the students to look through to find words they know.

  • Reading is Fun!

    We can not thank you enough for your donation. My kindergarten students have been so excited to be able to pick up a book that they are able to read. The stories on Frogs and shells have been HUGE hits with them this year. We are currently in the process of making interest posters to share with the other students in Kindergarten in order to entice them to read these stories. As you know may educational institutions have hit a shortfall this year. With your donation we have been able to put non-fiction books in my students hands. Without the generosity of people like you, there would have been many children who would have not had the opportunity to read such wonderful non-fiction stories.
