My students this year are lacking the materials they need to be successful. In class we are working on volume and learning how to use the calculators; however, there are not enough for everyone. Students have to share calculators every day and some go without. As the year goes by, the calculations we need to compute are getting more difficult and students are beginning to struggle due to the lack of materials. Additionally, as MCAS is coming, students will be at a disadvantage because they will not have the materials that are necessary to complete the test. Some of our students will need to complete the MCAS without calculators if we do not get the funds we need.
