My students have sensory and emotional needs that must be met to engage learning. They will benefit from a divider to allow learning to continue while other distractions occur in the room. My students love hands on learning and building words and objects with legos. Many of them are still figuring out their emotions and how to manage them. My class learns best in a comfortable environment that meets sensory needs while engaging social emotional learning. Emotion pillows will allow students to show their feelings while still being non-verbal. The use of legos will provide hands on learning through building and creating. Flexible seating will allow students the focus they require to learn while allowing their unique movement needs to be met. Right now, I have two flexible seating options that everyone wants to use! this will allow everyone's needs to be met.
