Amplifying Student Voices With a Qball Microphone Ball
Funded Nov 13, 2024Thank you for contributing to my classroom. Your generosity has helped give us a fun way to amplify our voices and share! We have used these tools to connect during morning meeting so we can each be heard, as well as a fun way to share our thinking during learning!
We are thinking up more games we can play with our Qball to practice our math facts, and use our voices for good!
The novelty of this product is the most exciting things for kids. It is way more fun to share when you get to toss and catch a ball to do so! This tech has livened up our classroom, and we're excited to continue to find ways to use it!”

Funded Nov 13, 2024Thank you for contributing to my classroom. The additional Spheros to add to our fleet have created more opportunities for students to be engaged and using their knowledge to code! Students are able to think methodically about the steps, and break down larger tasks into individual steps to achieve a goal. Students researched Wyoming Counties and Landmarks and designed mini golf holes to share with their peers and families. They then programmed their golf balls to travel the course and attempt to score a hole in one!
The kids love the different challenges that these tech tools present, and I love the different access level and opportunities it creates for students. Students can program using the joystick initially, and then be pushed to using blocks and even JavaScript. I love the differentiation opportunities!
We are so excited to get to incorporate these into our learning more, and look forward to boosting our knowledge of and application of STEM!”

Funded May 12, 2024Your generosity has provided my classroom a tool to help us connect in a way that is fun, safe and silly. We all know that we can only learn when we feel safe, supported and valued, and these materials are helping me to create an environment that is just that. These games provide an avenue to build community, by giving kids a chance to play, problem solve and giggle together.
My students were so excited when we cracked open the box and got to see the new games to play. They immediately wanted a chance to try all the options. We unpackaged the games and got into groups and started to play. The amount of smiling and laughing filled our room (and my teacher heart) with joy. These games give us a good chance to practice organization skills, as well as a way to connect and play with our classmates in a way that is non-threatening. When we feel connected to the classroom, learning is a lot easier!
We will continue to use these games and others to build community in our classroom. We're also excited to start integrating some more STEM into our day, and problem solve while thinking like scientists and mathematicians. The hard becomes easier when we are connected, and we are so grateful to donors like you who help us to do that!”

Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you for your generosity and contributing to my classroom! The 4th graders LOVE the personal LCD Whiteboards and are the envy of the 4th and 5th grade wing! They were elated when our materials arrived and ask daily if we can use them!
We are using these the most in our phonics practice as well as in math to develop concepts and practice new skills. The students love the ease of use, and I love the lack of mess!
These materials have helped accommodate the needs of multiple students in my room, and have made a more inclusive and safe environment for ALL students to be able to practice skills in an engaging and healthy way! Thank you again for contributing to my classroom. We are so grateful.”

Funded May 11, 2023Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom! We cannot wait to get started with the Sphero Minis and have some FUN projects on the horizon, thanks to your generosity.
We're planning a Wyoming Landmark or Oregon Trail Landmark themed mini golf course that students will construct and then program the robots to score a par!
The robots up the engagement factor in my classroom x1000 and we are so excited for all of the possibilities to come! Thank you again for your generous contribution to my classroom.”

Funded Dec 5, 2022Your generosity has purchased some amazing technology that is helping integrate 21st Century Skills into our daily curriculum. We are just exploring and scratching the surface of what these tools can do, and I am SO excited to play with them more and have my students build their critical thinking and coding skills.
When we got them out for the first time the kids were SO excited to be playing with and practicing some coding! We have done mostly unplugged activities to this point, so they are THRILLED to be getting their hands on the real things and applying their knowledge to complete tasks!
First, I am excited to teach kids that coding is a literacy skill, and it's really using the skills we have learned in reading to break apart and think about cause and effect and procedural thinking as we design and write our codes. They also allow us to work collaboratively to program their robot and practice skills like perseverance, troubleshooting and trying again when the program doesn't do what we hoped!
Thank you again for helping increase my classroom engagement and integration opportunities!”

Funded Jun 21, 2022Your donation helped me to create the perfect Safe Place for my students to learn and practice self-regulation. We have been learning about how our brain works and how we can work through a process to shift our brain state when in a state of upset into a position where we are ready to problem solve, learn and grow!
My students were THRILLED to see the cozy space I was able to create due to your generosity. They are so excited to have a comfortable place to go when they are in need of a little calming or comfort.
Our Safe Place officially opened at the beginning of this week. Students have been able to access the space when they are feeling sad, angry, confused, or anxious, and work through the process to be able to be ready to continue learning! The Safe Place is one of my favorite parts of my classroom, and it is because of your donations that it was able to happen!”

Brains On! Ease Into Learning with Soft Starts
Funded Aug 12, 2021The resources you helped provide to our classroom have made our Slow Start mornings a major success. The Slow Start is the highlight of the week for many of our kids, and they love getting to explore, build, collaborate, and play together to start our day.
Students were ecstatic as new donation materials would arrive and the choices expanded in our Slow Start Cart. The variety of choices provides a "something for everyone" and the kids can choose something quiet and independent or an activity that is a little more collaborative and play based!
Kids start our Tuesday mornings choosing a task from the cart and they build, laugh, play and explore together. It has positively impacted the student relationships and classroom climate as it affords the kids to play and engage with one another as well as the teachers! Thank you for making this dream a reality in our classroom.”
