  • Rain, Rain, Go Away

    Funded Feb 1, 2024

I am ecstatic to receive these materials and put them to use in my classroom. Thanks to you, my students will become more knowledgeable and consequentially more comfortable when we experience tornado weather. By having an iPad and printer ready-to-use in our classroom, my students will be able to learn about weather events in order to feel more prepared when they happen and help in our community in the aftermath of events. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nemcek

  • Hello, Headphones!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

I am extremely grateful for your donation! I know my students are going to be delighted to use brand new headphones, and that is because of you! You are allowing my students to comfortably receive interventions privately. Additionally, headphones will help to reduce computer noise which will allow all of us to focus more!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nemcek

  • Itching for Incentives!

    Funded Dec 31, 2021

I am forever grateful for your contributions to my classroom. By giving to my project, you are allowing me to show my students how much I appreciate all of their hard work. Likewise, this will also help me promote positive behavior amongst my students. That wouldn't be possible without the generosity of each of you! Thank you so much.”

  • I Can Hear You Loud and Clear!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

You have no idea how much you have impacted my classroom by helping me purchase a class set of headphones. We frequently use an online intervention system called iReady. When students utilize iReady, they are able to work on a personalized path that is designed specifically for them based on any deficits they may have shown during a diagnostic test. Because students are engaging in personalized lessons, it is important for them all to have headphones so they do not disturb others as they are working to bridge their gap. The students are especially excited about using these headphones because they come in fun colors such as lime green, turquoise blue, hot pink, and a vibrant orange. Thank you so much for believing in my students!”

  • Help Organize My Classroom!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

You have changed my classroom! We are able to run our classroom so much more smoothly by having these supplies! I love that I am able to store papers and materials according to day by having the storage drawers. This also puts more responsibility onto my students because they can go and find their missing work all on their own. They have so much more confidence now! Additionally, the students were delighted to see how the cute organizational tools added so much more color to our room. Thank you abundantly for putting your faith in my students by supplying them with these materials.”

    Funded May 21, 2021

I am blown away and amazed by your generosity! I know my students will be ecstatic when they see the new addition to our classroom that you made possible. A million times over, thank you so much for helping me turn my classroom into the best version for my students.”

  • Are You Smarter Than VersaTiles?

    Funded Nov 11, 2020

Versatiles, a self-checking tool, has completely changed the way I am able to conduct small group rotations in my classroom. A fear I have while doing small groups is having something meaningful for every student in my classroom to do. For example, I typically work with 5 students at a time, meaning that I have to make sure the other 20 students in my room are doing something meaningful. Using Versatiles has helped remedy that.

Similarly, another fear that I previously had was my students completing work incorrectly. With Versatiles, they can check their answers all on their own! It also gives me the ability to be more present with my small group because I don't have several students coming up to me at once asking me to check their work. They can do it all on their own!

Besides these positives, my students love to use the Versatiles you helped provide because it is something new and exciting!”

  • Math Literature & More

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

As a math teacher, I started the school year with very few books. The little amount of books I had didn't really interest my students. Because they are dedicated to read any time they have a free second, I knew I had to supply them with a variety of books to quench their thirst. I actually recently had a virtual student return to school, and the thing he said he was most excited about when he came back to school was having more books to read because he didn't have many at home. Sure enough, as soon as he steps foot into my classroom each morning, he always has a book in his hands!

In addition to the books you helped me purchase for my students to read for pleasure, I was also able to supply my classroom with math literature books. I like to use these various books to introduce a new concept in my classroom. Sometimes it can be hard to learn something completely new, but having these books makes it a little easier because it allows them to see how math can relate to the real world outside of our classroom!”

  • Getting Cozy with Math!

    Funded Oct 16, 2020

I cannot thank you enough for donating to my project and allowing me to furnish my classroom with our very own rug! My students eyes lit up when they saw the rug - they thought it was neat that our rug had various shapes on it. They were quick to point out the names of the shapes since we are actually learning about shapes currently.

Anyone who has been in a classroom knows that sometimes the colorless, brick walls aren't very inviting. My goal was to brighten up my classroom and make my kids more excited to be in my classroom. Our rug is utilized quite often when we are doing small group rotations. Any time my students are playing a math game to review a skill, they beg me to sit on the carpet so they can spread out and get comfortable while they work!

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nemcek

  • Multiplication, Fractions, and Addition - Oh My!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

My students will appreciate these resources so much! They learn so much better when they have visual representations of skills in front of them while they are working. Please know that by donating to my classroom, you are helping me get my students state test ready! I can't wait for them to try these out. I can't thank you all enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nemcek

My classroom consists of students with very versatile learning needs. They often learn better when they are not confined to a single desk. By supplying my classroom with a rug, you will create a gathering space for us to grow and learn together. Having a rug will allow my students to move to a specific location in order to be more receptive to my mini lesson rather than being spread out throughout the classroom and not being able to see if they are situated at the back of the room in a desk. Additionally, a rug will allow my students to comfortably work together in centers instead of sitting on a cold, hard tile floor.
