Dramatic play encourages children to put themselves in other’s shoes. Role playing encourages empathy, language development, and a healthy brain development. This is a teaching tool that allows for students to step into the shoes of another and learn how to creatively problem solve and share responsibility. It also allows for a deeper understanding and expressing their feelings through the re-enactment of certain experiences. My students will use these materials as a form of social interaction that provides opportunities for working out problems and experimenting with solutions. I believe that imaginative play is a great way for my students to develop themselves in a relaxing and fun environment!
