These iPads will be used for communication purposes across all academic settings. I have two students in particular who speculatively have what is known as "apraxia of speech", which means they have significant difficulty organizing oral movements to produce clear and concise speech. As a result, peers and teachers have an extremely difficult time understanding these students. These students have good language knowledge and skills, they just don't currently have a functional way to voice what they know. Access to an iPad equipped with Proloquo2Go is just what would remedy this deficit and help them to be heard by all!
